more plumbing woes. after much pointless plunging of a stubborn toilet, i decided to make the call and have our septic guy come and help out. for a price he much obliged and emptied out full to the brim poop tank and even fond the source of our clog and remedied that as well.

i usually bring my son to work, which is during the after-school program at the school i taught at before our son entered this world. the students enjoy having him at school and he the same. for the most part. today we enjoyed snack on the counter top in the first grade classroom. shoes optional.

there was a house fire down the street from us. a flurry of emergency vehicles rushed past our house, through which my son slept. when things died down we took a walk to get a closer look.

my best friend and i were sitting on the beach about two summers ago and pinky swore that if she got pregnant, i would try too. finally this past october she got pregnant! it was truly a miracle and work of GOD this happened. the idea of being pregnant together was (and is) thrilling! to think our children will be five months apart! and here we are celebrating her first baby shower.
