my nephew had his seventh birthday at a local climbing gym. i used to facilitate a climbing wall and ropes course years ago at a summer camp. i was in my element atop that wall and helping kids face their fears. and here i am at least twelve years later facing a climbing wall again. i made the attempt to climb this wall....making it about 3/4 of the way up before my sluggish body gave up.

summer vacation day fifty nine
